Christian Cartoons

By Gail Nobles

5/20/2007

Like Charlie Brown and Garfield, Christian cartoons are not well known in the funny papers. They are starting to be known. In my opinion, I think Christian cartoons are just as fun to read as regular cartoons. They have humor too. You will find Christian cartoons mostly on the internet. They seem to be getting popular.

When I showed some friends what Christian cartoons were about, they fell in love with them right away. They loved the humor.

I also draw Christian cartoons. When I first started drawing my cartoons, I tried to submit them to other Christian cartoon websites. My work was rejected by most of them because I didn’t have humor. My work was more like educational and ministry type of material. Finally, a website designer named Bill Willoughby made a website out of my cartoons. Now, I design my own website. You will find me at www.freewebs.com/littlebennyandfriends. I have received wonderful comments about my cartoons. That makes me feel good.

Above you will see one of my characters from my cartoon site. I made him into an advertisement about smoking.

LB 103 Theme

The LB 103 theme is a very short and quick
theme for the radio station that could be
used right before a commercial break.

LB 103 Radio Intro

Radio Idea

I always wanted to start my own Christian cartoon radio station. Christian Cartoon Radio is only make believe. It is something that I dreamed up to tell the stories of my characters. I made up my own intro for the idea. I was not live on the air like a real radio station. So, the audio was made up for a pretend radio station. It is titled “Little Benny Radio Intro”. Then I wanted the story of Little Benny to seem real and exciting. I wanted the listeners to get lost in the stories and updates of his life as a Christian. My intentions were to write it and let people read it, but ideas kept pouring into my head. That’s when I decided to make an mp3 titled “Little Benny Radio Update”. Next, I came up with an mp3 called “Morning Devotion”.
